The Nepalese Journal of Insurance and Social Security (NJISS) is a double-blind peer reviewed international refereed journal dedicated to publishing original research in risk management, insurance, and social security.

The objective of NJISS is to provide publication opportunities to fresh researchers while contributing meaningfully to the body of knowledge in relevant fields. The journal is based in Kathmandu, Nepal, and encourages original scholarly work with practical and policy relevance.

Scope of the Journal
Authors are invited to submit original papers in the broad area of risk management, insurance, and social securities. Thematic coverage includes, but is not limited to, the following areas.
Insurance products and markets
Catastrophic, government, commercial, micro, health, community-based, life, property, casualty, liability, and social insurance topics.
Risk management and resilience
Disaster, project, enterprise, corporate, credit, climate-change risk management, and reinsurance practices.
Social security and pensions
Social protection for formal and informal sectors, pension funds, retirement, ageing, unemployment, health care benefits, and long-term care.
Regulation and governance
Regulatory issues, capital adequacy, solvency margin, cross-border activities, customers’ and employees’ satisfaction, and good governance.
Finance, accounting, and banking linkages
Insurance accounting, financial and asset management, investments, depository and credit guarantee schemes, microfinance, and bancassurance practices.
Customers, literacy, and distribution
Behavioural finance, customer perception, financial literacy, insurance education, inclusion, marketing strategies, fraud control, and claims management.

The journal welcomes original submissions with strong academic value and practical relevance. Authors are encouraged to contribute fresh ideas that advance policy debate, industry practice, and research quality.

Author Copies
One printed copy of the journal is mailed to the author free of cost. Additional copies are available on payment of the applicable printing cost.
